About Dr. Christian
Dr. Kevin Christian is a board-certified general surgeon with additional board certification in Surgical Critical Care and fellowship training in Trauma Surgical Critical Care — a combination of expertise that allows him to care for both routine general surgery needs and the most complex, urgent surgical cases.
Dr. Christian specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, offering patients smaller incisions, less pain, and faster recovery whenever these techniques are appropriate.
He is affiliated with Freeman Health System and proudly serves patients throughout Joplin, Neosho, and Pittsburg.
Dr. Christian believes patients deserve clear answers and an active role in their care. He takes the time to walk through diagnosis, treatment options, and what to expect — so patients go into surgery informed and confident.
Dr. Christian earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida and his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University. He completed a medicine internship at Northside Hospital Tampa Bay Heart Institute, followed by a General Surgery residency at TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a fellowship in Trauma Critical Care at the University of Cincinnati.
